As you all may know, our Sunim will start having another Buddhism class in ENGLISH starting from this Fri May 15th.
This could be your lifetime opportunity to be able to learn about the heart of Buddhism in English at our own temple. This session should have been prepared especially for the Youth Group so I encourage all your participation.
The subject is about the Heart Sutra - Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya in Sanskrit or 반야심경.
My version of facts about the Heart Sutra;
Ø Shortest sutra with deepest meaning
Ø Has the focal Buddhist teaching
Ø Can’t claim as a Buddhist without knowing and understanding it
Ø Can decipher everyday life along with it
As you progress in your life, you will get busier and will have less chance in learning about life’s hidden treasure. I will join you to learn about the sutra and I also hope my daughters be there. Maybe they will listen to you better so please relay the message to them and others.
